Endless Horizons at the IMO
London - 29 October, 2002.
Exciting contemporary artist Ulla, is set to launch her latest solo exhibition "Endless Horizons", at the spectacular London headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), on Monday 11 November.
Born in Denmark, Ulla enjoyed a successful career as a top international model. After relocating to London in 1990, she decided to pursue her first love - painting.
Ulla's unique style derives from her experiences as a model, and reflects her ability to effortlessly capture the essence of female sensuality. She is also known for her dream-like landscapes, inspired primarily by her Scandinavian roots, as well as more exotic climes.
Ulla has had major exhibitions in London, Rome and Los Angeles, several of which have been one-woman shows. She has also featured in numerous publications, with critics dubbing her work as 'intense, vibrant - spontaneous', 'exuberant' and as 'having soul'.
Her paintings can be found in both private and corporate collections worldwide, including the headquarters of the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) in London, England and the Royal Danish Trade Commission in Los Angeles, USA.
Notes Ulla: "The title Endless Horizons is frequently used symbolically. It refers to endless horizons of the mind: a never-ending spiritual journey of love, hope, peace and freedom."
The exhibition will continue at the IMO until 22 November, 2002. A selection
of Ulla's paintings can be viewed online at: http://www.ulla-art.com.
